In a dark land she stands on the sand looking to the sea. A stabbing pain through her back, she turns around to see it is he.
“Why have you come here?” she whispers.
“Aren’t you happy to see me?” he smiles wickedly
He wraps a chain around her neck. Too heavy to stand she’s forced to the ground.
“If you can not move,” he says, “You will drown.”
Then he walks away as the waves roll in.
Higher they rise until she can no longer see.
Then she awakes to remember it’s not she that’s dead, but he.
